As a photographer, I have photographed many different locations in the Portsmouth, NH area. Here is a list of my top ten photoshoot spots!
Fort Foster, Kittery Point, Maine
Fort Foster is a beautiful public park located on the tip of Gerrish Island, in Kittery Maine. The park is filled with history from World War 1 and 2. After the wars, the property was used for recreational purposes for the Naval Shipyard, before the US government gave the land to the town of Kittery sometime in the 1960's - where its been a beautiful park ever since! The park has an array of beautiful backdrops, from a long pier next to a stunning beach, to trails through the woods and alongside the beach. I even have a favorite spot for some beautiful sunset shots.

Harbor Beach, York Harbor, Maine
York Harbor Beach is nestled away in a quiet corner off of Route 1A. Most people don't know about Harbor beach, and it's a good thing, because this is my favorite of all of the York beaches.

Stratham Hill Park, Stratham, NH
Most people don't seem to remember Stratham Hill Park, and I have no idea why! This park is located off of busy Route 33 in Strtham NH, but just a few yards in, you'll forget all about the hustle ad bustle that road provides. With hikes to a viewing tower (That overlooks the beautiful Great Bay, to open fields, and trail walks - there is quiet beauty at every turn.

Great Bay Science Center
This centers outdoor area is filled with walking trails that are so unique and beautiful, you'll want to do all of your fun family shots here!

Long Sands Beach, York Maine
Long sands beach is the longest beach in York, length and width wise! As you stroll along the sidewalk, to the right is the beautiful beach, and to the left you will see historic homes, and hotels (such as the famous Nevada Inn). Along the ocean, tucked away to the left you will see the famed Nubble Light House. This beach has smooth sand throughout most of its surface, but on both ends you will find a library of rocks and tide pools to explore in.

Short Sands, York Maine
Short sands is just that - short. Low tide brings much more surface space for photos, but even at hight tide there is plenty of beautiful backgrounds for photos. This area is also filled with quaint little shops, restaurants (some of which have live music), ice cream, and if youre there on a weekend in the summer, chance are you will see a wedding happening just off of the beach, on the grounds of The Union Bluff Hotel and Meeting House.

Wagon Hill, Durham, NH
Wagon Hill is full of beauty! The staple of this location, is very much revealed in its name. An antique green wagon on the top of a hill! But just a short walk from the wagon is Oyster river!

Hamilton House, South Berwick, Maine
The Hamilton House in South Berwick Maine is a late 17 century Georgian style "mansion" overlooking Salmon Falls River. The property was originally home to the Wabanaki, and is on the border of Vaughn Woods.

Prescott Park, Portsmouth NH
Prescott Park, which lines the Piscataqua River, is nestled on the edge of Down town Portsmouth. This park has so many features, its sure to check off all of your photoshoot wants. There are 3 different piers that reach out onto the river, 2 public gardens, and across the street is Strawberry Banke, which contains many of the original settlers homes, as well as little gardens scattered around, waiting for exploration.

Marginal Way/Perkins Cove, Ogunquit, Maine
Marginal Way is a beautiful path along the rocky coast of Ogunquit. The mouth of this path starts in Perkins cove. The path goes for a few miles, and eventually dumps you out near Ogunquit Beach. The views are vast and beautiful. Back at Perkins cove, you will find a cute little drawbridge, a small marina, many shops and restaurants - and my favorite - Ice Cream!
