Fort Foster

Kittery Point, Maine

One of my favorite things about this spot, is that it encompasses everything you would want in a photoshoot. Depending on the time of year, you may need to park your car outside the gate and walk in. In their open-off season you may drive in for free - and in their full open season you will need to pay admission to get in. But there is plenty to do after the photoshoot - so bring your bathing suit, your bicycle, and a picnic basket! There is a playground for kids, as well as coal grills matched perfectly with picnic tables and benches. There are a few pavilions that can be rented out for private events, tons of trails for walking or cycling, and of course a big beautiful beach for sunbathing and swimming! If you are a history buff, Fort Foster is filled with an interesting past, and a lot of fun facts.

The Coastline is stunning

Fort Foster is littered with the Ocean. From the sandy beach, to rocky coastline, and all of it makes for the most stunning background for your photos.

The trails and walkways are unmatched

There are trails that kiss the coastline, through the woods, and tiptoe between sections of this vast, and picturesque park. Each trail is easy to access and walk on, and they all have their own type of beauty

The pier is top notch

The pier and beach below, is just beautiful. It reaches out into the Athletic ocean, and puts you closer to Whaleback Light.
